Dear colleagues.

We are glad to welcome you on our site. For five years, passing from the moment of completion of III convention of neurosurgeons in Alushta, neurosurgery, as one of the most dynamic part of medicine, undergone a lot of changes. Appeared and new technologies are successfully applied, new pictures are formed of known and earlier unknown pathological processes. We refused from some widely used methods and, vice versa, went back to old, for a time to the groundlessly forgotten methods.

Finally Ukrainian neurosurgery began to be armed with a modern diagnostic and medical apparatus. Most perfect CT -scanners and MRI, angiography plants work in many city centers, allowing to perform the most difficult endovascular operations on intra- and extracranial vessels, further development obtained the functional neurosurgery. Today more important is not only acquisition of equipment, but education of specialists. Appeared, that far not all from us are ready to adequate perception and effective use of the newest eqiupment and modern technologies.

For this time XIII World congress of neurosurgeons passed in Marakesh and XIII European Congress of neurosurgeons in Glasgow, which Ukraine was deservingly presented on. I am sure that forthcoming IV Congress of neurosurgeons of Ukraine will pass at high scientific level and will give a new impuls to development of domestic neurosurgery.

Neurosurgical Association of the Dnepropetrovsk region at support of the Dnepropetrovsk state medical academy and administration of health protection of will make all the best to that a forthcoming forum gave you not only the new charge of knowledge and energy, but delivered mass of the pleasant impressions. We wait you on hospitable land of Dnepropetrovsk, reach by not only by culture traditions but also indescribable natural resources and kind cardiac people.
